Country Music Fest – Day 1

Starting at noon, thousands of area country music fans will converge on Chicago’s Millennium Park to catch some of the hottest names in country music and sample an amazing spread of local talent and aspiring artists. We’re about half way through Day 1 of the Chicago Country Music Festival. Tons of amazing talent has already taken the Honkey Tonk and Americana stages with the evening headlines yet to come. The weather is Amazing so far.

Just witnessed some real country music. Whitey Morgan & The 78s just played the Honky Tonk stage. That’s some good stuff. Get you some of that.

Local band Brushfire is rocking it out in the Best Buy Honey Tonk tent. There set list is all over the board from classic country to ’80s rock. Reminds me of the Blues Brothers movie quote when the country bar owner said, “This ain’t no Hank Williams song.”
