What started with a borrowed Garth Brooks Greatest Hits album in the early ’90s and listening to US99.5, Chicago’s country music radio station, has escalated into an outright obsession for country music. In order to share his love and passion with others, CountryMusicChicago.com founder Scott Winterroth created what has become the Midwest’s premier online source for country music. From early on, Scott’s vision for CMC was to better organize the region’s country music scene, promote local talent and help Chicago become the premier country music destination outside the City of Nashville.
He attributes the early success of CountryMusicChicago.com to his combined experience in journalism, public relations, marketing, web design and photography.
Scott is a life-long Chicagoland resident and currently resides in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications and Journalism from Northern Illinois University.

Kevin Majka has been a country music fan since the 90’s when his parents cranked Garth Brooks around the house. While first denying the twang, within hours he was singing along with songs that he still loves today. He’s has a sweet spot for anything with pedal steel guitar and great vocal harmonies.
In addition to Kevin’s web development skills, he brings extensive knowledge of the musical arts – and of the music business – to the Country Music Chicago team through his work as an independent artist and manager.
