KJ is an alt-country guitarist, singer and songwriter looking to expose Chicago to the Red Dirt and Texas country music scene. Although while growing up, KJ listened to artists like Metallica, Counting Crows, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, he was later exposed to country artists like Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn. These influences blended naturally resulting in a unique, energetic and rock driven form of country music.
It wasn’t until later that KJ discovered the Red Dirt and Texas music scenes, which have produced artists like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Shooter Jennings, Randy Rogers Band and Stoney LaRue. These artists were both inspirational and liberating for KJ who felt like he had found his musical home.
Today, KJ has hit Chicago with everything he has. Passionate, professional and determined, KJ is destined to prove that he has what it takes to become Chicago’s premier alt-country artist.
