Way More Country Than That

Concert Alert:

Easton Corbin at Joe’s Bar – January 7 // 8:30PM

While other country “startups” today might not be modeling the “country twang” this genre is probably best known for, there’s one Floridian that’s sticking’ to the standards.

Easton Corbin broke into the country radio scene back in April of 2008 with his debut single “A little More Country Than That“, a song that would eventually earn Corbin his first number one single and an American Country Award for Male Single of the Year. Since then, he released his self-titled, debut album, picked up a handful of nominations from the Country Music Association and Country Music Television, and has been compared to the likes of many country music straits err. greats.

Corbin’s success continued in 2010. His sophomore single “Roll With It” continued his chart success with a number one spot on the Billboard country charts and even landed Corbin on the overall Billboard Hot 100 chart.

While Corbin is no stranger to Chicago, as he was billed on the Brad Paisley H2O Tour last summer, it’s his debut at Chicago’s country bar, Joe’s Bar. A venue that will serve him well.
