“This year the Chicago Country Music Festival has its own weekend and a new location at Soldier Field. As a fan of country, I feel that Chicago has one of the best country music gatherings outside of Nashville,” said Mayor Richard M. Daley.
The Chicago Country Music Festival, once a part of the Taste of Chicago, celebrates its 18th year with concerts and a new festival area that promises to draw some of the biggest names in country music including Gretchen Wilson and Taylor Swift. There are three performance stages, a Kids’ Corral tent and a dance tent.
