The 45th Annual Country Music Association Awards was a big night for some of country’s hottest stars.
Taylor Swift was named Entertainer of the Year joining Barbara Mandrell as only the second female in CMA history to be named Entertainer of the Year twice.
Taylor may have received the night’s highest honor, but The Band Perry was the big winner taking home 3 awards including New Artist of the Year. Jason Aldean wasn’t far behind scoring wins for Album of the Year and Musical Event of the Year.
Newlyweds Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton brought home awards for Female and Male Vocalists of the Year for the second year in row. Meanwhile, Lady Antebellum took home Vocal Group of the Year and Sugarland dedicated their trophy for Vocal Duo of the Year to their fans.
Carrie and Underwood and Brad Paisley paired up for the fourth time to host the awards show and did not disappoint. In between laughs some of Nashville’s top talent also took the stage including Keith Urban, Sara Evans and Rascal Flatts who sang their latest single, Easy, with Natasha Bedingfield.
