CMAs comin’ back home for the holidays

Sugarland performs "Silent Night" during "CMA Country Christmas" airing Thursday, Dec. 1 on the ABC Television Network.

Country’s biggest stars are coming together to celebrate the holidays on “CMA Country Christmas.” The special, which is hosted for the second time by Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, was filmed in front of a live audience at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena earlier this month.

The arena was transformed into a winter wonderland and country’s greatest came out to share their favorite holiday songs and stories. Sugarland, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Scotty McCreery were among some of the artists to take the stage.

“This special is a holiday gift, wrapped in outstanding performances and tied with a ribbon of favorite family traditions,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “Everything you love most about the holidays can be found in CMA Country Christmas.”

The two-hour special will air this Thursday, December 1 at 8:00PM CST on ABC (WLS 7 Local).
